Welcome to our anniversary auction
 

We are celebrating our 60th auction and 40 years of the trading house – hurray!
 

A lot has changed in the world since the trading house's first days in 1984 and the first auction in 2006. We have experienced many ups and downs, but we have always gotten back up, reflected on the changes in the collectors' market and adapted to them. This means that we can look to the future on a solid basis and without any major worries.
 

On the occasion of this anniversary, the entire team at Christoph Gärtner's auction and trading house would like to thank everyone who has contributed to its success over the years. Philately is similar to sport. Didn't the Olympic Games in Paris show us that people from all over the world want to live together in good and peaceful ways? In philately and numismatics, too, you get to know people from many different countries around the world, and it seems to be almost independent of their origin whether someone is good or bad, highly honorable or the last... That hardly depends on where he comes from or lives, at least that's our experience based on our worldwide contacts.
 

But now back to this upcoming auction. Among the more than 11,000 lots you will find many focal points that can be used to supplement and enliven even advanced collections. By popular request we will also be publishing a "Rarities" catalogue again - always something to look at and dream about.
